Could you please identify the maker? Does the marking look legit? Thanks

Russian silver makers mark
Re: Russian silver makers mark
First of all, always show a picture of the whole object. Secondly, in this case, however, it has no meaning because the mark is faked, sorry.

Re: Russian silver makers mark
Hi dognose,
Sorry, typically there is a button that opens a folder to attach pictures but I couldn't see one. So I just put a url in the message. Also when I click on the "Img" button, and put the url between the two img tags, in the preview it didn't show the picture.....here is one more try to see if the pic is shown. But any way thanks for adding the picture.

Hi Q.rts,
Could you please elaborate on why you think it is fake? I am not saying it is not fake, just like to know what in particular is wrong with the marks.
Thanks.

Re: Russian silver makers mark
As stated many times before I'm not going to explain why a fake is a fake because fakers as well read theses sites and I have no intention whatsoever to teach how the marks should look like and with that support their actions. Anyway, the marks do not look like they should on an object made and marked 1894.
Anyway, what is the object? Please read this first: http://www.925-1000.com/images.html

Re: Russian silver makers mark
I think there must be an issue because I use dropbox for file storage, otherwise I have put the url between the img tags per the link you sent me.
But any way, the object is a stirrup cup with a base that looks like a buffalo's head. It is in pristine condition and doesn't show any signs of age.
