Russian Hallmark silver spoons

Post by Gertje »

Hi,
For a subject at school I need to identify some hallmarks. I bumped into this one but I don't know what it means or where to look to find this.

Here's is a picture: file:///C:/Users/Gerlinde/Documents/Russian%20hallmark.pdf

I hope the link is working. Otherwise copy/paste in the URL bar.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Gertje,

Welcome to the Forum.

You need to embed your images as very few members will click on links or thumbnails let alone copy and pasting codes into browsers.

It is not Russian mark but a Soviet Union hallmark from Tallinn capital in the Soviet republic of Estonia indicating the fineness of 916/1000. The maker TJ7 is Tallinnskaja Juvelirnaja Fabrika (Tallinn Jewelry factory) and the year is 1967 (if I remember correctly, I'm not with my books for the moment).
