Germany 835 CB

Post by Sprottem »

I have a cream spoon very likely to be German. It is hallmarked in the spoon with 835 and CB. Questions:

Does anybody know why 835 was uses rather than 800?
Who is CB?

Kind regards

Hello, CB might be Chr. Bach from Ellmendingen. 835 became popular in German in the 1920es, It was up to the maker what fineness to use, no real resaon here. Regards, Bahner
