MH 800 on base of candelabra

Post by Silvermania »

Hi, can anyone please assist us in identifying these marks which are stamped on the edge of a candelabra base. The marks are in 'lozenge' type side on boxes, the middle '0' of the '800' appears larger the other has the initials 'MH'. This piece is a small 3 sconce candelabra with each sconce head in the form of a flower.
We thought French, but had no luck in our research, also tried German and Austrian.
Thank you for any assistance / suggestions.

Your description of the candelabra with flower shaped sconces plus the form of the hallmarks makes me think Yogya silver of Indonesia but a photo of the whole candelabra is really required so we have an idea of where to start.

Cheers,
Steve
