Help IDing plated spoon

Post by bbjunkie »

Hi All,

Inherited quite a lot of silver plate cutlery and am interested in finding out the history behind some of it.

This particular item is a large serving spoon, suspect it's probably at least 80 years old based on the age of the other pieces.

Any ideas who the maker is and roughly how old?

Thanks
P

Hi P and welcome to the forum.

I suspect that this dates from the beginning of the 20th century or possibly slightly earlier. The initials of the manufacturer are J T E & S; we do not list it in our silverplate section but on another site the mark is shown in the "Unidentified" section.
