Art Nouveau 925 Makers Mark

Post by shub33 »

He there!

Any help would be appreciated in the maker's mark. I have searched high and low with no luck. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Your question cannot be answered without the required images. The below should help you:

http://www.postimg.com is recommended. Embedded images get a far greater response than just posting links.

A clearer shot of the "makers?" mark would be helpful. Also, without a "Sterling" or ".925" mark visible here, can you state how you definitively ascertained the metals content (chemical test, etc.)? That content changes the whole search parameters.

Hello again. I did post clearer photos of my brooch. It is stamped 925. Someone suggested that it may be Mexican or even Native American but if so I believe that would have been indicated along with the maker's initials. Do you have any thoughts? I have searched high and low to try to figure this one out.

Thank you again fro your response.

Always helpful to see the item itself, not just the marks/reverse...

A prior sighting of NN-in-pellet with Sterling rather than 925: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... n+sterling

Another NN was seen above Sterling mark, but no pellet and different letter form.
