Maker mark help: LBS

Post by 1eaglewood »

I have an 18K gold ring with elaborate carving, very small Ruby and Diamond chips, a date of 1717, with the Chester assay mark. I need help with a maker mark (LBS) and the last mark which is 51. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry Rigsby

Think we'll need photos of the marks for this one, I may be wrong, but it is unlikely they are as you are reading them.

Agree with Admin as the ring sounds very late Victorian.....probably around 1890-1910 but only a photo of the marks can prove one way or another.
