Small hand made bowl from India

good day,
I have this bowl that was given to me years ago by my great uncle. He told me it came from India and judging by the design on the outside I assume he is correct. I think the mark is the very small triangle shaped indent in the bottom. It it very hard to see even with a magnifying glass. There are also some scratched letters or numbers in the bottom. Hopefully the photos will be of assistance in dating this piece. I would love to know it's origins...
