Hello, I am new to this forum having recently inherited some silverware from my late uncle. Much of this I have identified as silverplate, but I believe the following item to be Chinese Export Silver. I have done some research on the hall marks at the bottom of the box myself, and believe it may be a piece by Wang Hing - but I do not have much knowledge as regards these things. I am interested in knowing if the box is indeed silver, and if anyone else would agree that it looks like a Wang Hing piecei. I have no idea what the chinese symbols next to WH 90 could represent.

Yes, it was the mark of Wang Hing ("宏興") in Hong Kong, a very large commercial company and export different kind of goods (mainly to U.S.)

The other mark "廷記" should the the firm name of a Guangdong silversmith.
