No other marks except for the same on opposit side.

Not one of the experts but it appears to read T pellet G. May we see a close ups of both marks.

Thank you Mitch,

Even though we can not clearly see the top of the letter on the left, from the base to the top the letter appears to expand. Let's see what others have to say on this mark.

Could it possibly be I.C for James Curtis of Colonial Williamsburg?

Usually when IG appears on sugar nips, it's attributed to John Gorham, London, early/mid 18th century, though there is uncertainty about that attribution.
