R Parker eagle back spoon

Post by dw171 »

I would like help identifying the silversmith of this spoon. I think its signed R Parker, which doesn't show in any reference site / book I've looked at. I think its probably from the 18th century with the style monogram and spoon construction. Any help is appreciated.

Please check Catherine Hollan's book on Philadelphia Silversmiths. She doesn't have much but does show your mark for Richard Parker working in 1785.
Nice spoon!

Hi,

Can you post a close-up of the mark?
