Need help dating these coin silver items...

Post by testing123 »

There are no maker's marks on this piece at all, so I'm assuming American. It's some kind of pot and creamer? I'm guessing the stars are stamped/rolled on somehow? They're pretty thin, as I think combined they weigh about 10 ounces (maybe upwards of 12 or so). Does anyone recognize the style and the approximate age? Thank you for any help you can provide!

These might be Kutch Indian Silver from India. This region was known for imitating English styles. The finial and the handles seem imitative of certain English teapot makers such as Charles Fox. Check out a few articles on Kutch silver and see what you think, its a good place to start anyway.....
