Llamas with salt and pepper pots cruet set Peru 925

Post by user701 »

A friend asked if I could help determine if these are genuine silver or fake and if correct, who the maker is and the rough age.

I have no idea of Peruvian silver, so I have taken some photos and posting them to see if anyone here can help.

First Llama, marked 925, makers mark looks like MM possibly a K after

The second Llama is marked 925 makers mark looks like MFC then PERU

The pots, which fit in the second Llama's holders have the makers mark of, again, what looks like MFC then PERU 925

Any help would be gratefully appreciated and passed on to my friend, who has had these for a few years, but was told by someone back then, they were 'not right' but never got round to investigating if they were or not. Thank you.
