What is the Name of this pattern? It’s found on a set of 1941 Sheffield spoons hallmarked E. I. Over A.I.

Hi Niceguy,

I don't know if this particular pattern has a name, but there were many similar variations of it in the 1930's/1940's. The origin of the design appears to Walter Belk's 'Plain Pine' pattern that was registered in 1934 and designed for use on the RMS Queen Mary, see:

There is no doubt that the popularity of the design sparked other manufacturers to launch similar patterns.
