Help identifying flatware

Post by brrods »

Hi :)

I would love to know a little more about this flatware.
I got it from a woman in São Paulo / Brazil that has french and english ancestors. From her I also got some real nice FERRY french sterling silver pieces. So there is a good chance it is french. But the engraved sun also suggest south american (?) Anyway, any information would be appreciated, such as possible origin and age. Thanks :)

Hi welcome to the forum. There are no (hall) marks you can show us?

Hello
Your flatware is not marked correctly for either French or English silver. My best guess is Brazil.
The style of your flatware is neo-Renaissance, popular in the mid to late nineteenth century.
