Hi everyone,

I found this piece metal detecting (with permission to do so) a while back and have been unsuccessful locating information about it. Is anyone able to give me information about the maker and the approximate age of the item? I believe it's an inkwell cap. I think the initials are B&C but they could be B&B.

Here's the first mis-guided bad stab at it...I see a possible "P". Could it be Paye & Baker ( P & B in three hearts) with an accidental reversal of letters reading "B & P" badly marked.
