Maltese mark.

Post by 2209patrick »

Just came accross a short article on a seldom seen silver mark from Malta.
Thought I would pass the information on since Tardy's just makes a brief comment about it.

Hi Pat,

Thanks for posting this interesting article. I'm surprised we don't come across Maltese silver from this period, especially as it may have misattributed as Scottish or Irish provincial and keenly collected.
I entered a post earlier in the year, regarding the 'open hand' mark, but never discovered the maker. Any thoughts?

Hi Trev.

Can't help with the maker's mark "GF" on your spoon.
