CHICAGO

Mr. Todd, of the Towle Mfg. Co., broke his record for speechmaking, Sunday, when he addressed the First Baptist Sunday School, at La Grange, his suburban home, for over half an hour, on the Passion Play, as seen by him last Spring at Oberammergau. The close attention given to his description must have proved highly gratifying to the speaker in what was, to him, a new departure.

CHICAGO

"It’s better to be born lucky than rich," remarks Assistant Manager Hull, of the Towle Mfg. Co. Mr. Hull left his bicycle in the hallway at his home, where it was promptly stolen. Within four hours, by a remarkable chain of fortunate circumstances, the wheel was restored to him: hence the remark above quoted.

Towle Silversmiths Cordoba Pattern (c. 1902) spoon detail customized with engraving for "A" on handle and depiction in bowl of West Liberty High School Ohio USA. School built in 1900 as replacement to first school from c.1850. Again superceeded c.1921. Structure apparently still extant. (Engraving is not an exact match of true details of structure, but a close approximation.)

The Towle Mfg. Co. illustrate a new pattern of silver plated ware, called the “ Eudora.” This pattern is fully up to the usual excellence of the goods of this house, both in design and finish. It is made in bright and oxidized finish, and of the peculiar quality which has been attained alone by this house. Jewelers only can obtain them of the manufacturers, who have established a rule to sell to the legitimate trade only.
