Wright, Kay & Co.’s window this week is given up to the many styles of French jewelry, the national emblems and photographs of notable buildings in history. The feature is a very sensible one and will be continued until the holiday trade sets in.

John B. Gore and Chas. C. Noble, formerly with Wright, Kay & Co., have accepted positions in the retail department of R. J. F. Roehm & Son.

E. T. Garlick, formerly with Wright, Kay & Co., Detroit, Mich., has taken charge of the jewelry manufacturing department in the store of G. W. Stolz, Saginaw, Mich.

Wright, Kay & Co. last week quietly celebrated the 25th anniversary of their advent in business here. They still occupy the same building in which they started. The original firm were composed of R. J. F. Roehm and Henry M. Wright, but the former has been in business for himself many years.

Wright. Kay & Co. have donated a handsome loving cup as a prize for the winner in the athletic tournament shortly to be held at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

DETROIT

The Imperial Council delegates to the meeting of the Mystic Shrine here last week were presented with a handsome souvenir medal manufactured for Moslem Temple by Wright, Kay & Co.

Mr. Kay, of Wright, Kay & Co., has a collection of stamps that is valued at $50,000. It has taken him 40 years to collect them. At a recent meeting of the Detroit Philatelic Club, over 300 persons were in attendance, and Mr. Kay's collection was the principal attraction.

DETROIT

Wright, Kay & Co. have designed and manufactured a magnificent diamond badge for the Evening News, of this city, which will be given as one of the prizes in the Hilsendegen road race, which takes place here next Saturday. A large diamond is set in the base of a wreath. The crescent at the top of the wreath and the bar containing the figures “ 310 ” and the words Road Race, are enameled.

John Kay, of Wright, Kay & Co., has been in New York. On April 10, he sailed for Europe on the Teutonic. Mr. Kay will visit the principal countries of the Old World in search of novelties, and will be absent three months.

Wright, Kay & Co., of Detroit, have only recently made a strong bid for Delta Upsilon trade, but the excellence of the work turned out is steadily winning friends for them.

Paul C. Sinz. one of the recognized diamond experts, of this city, for the past seven years with Wright, Kay & Co., has taken charge of the diamond department at Hugh Connelly’s jewelry store at the corner of Griswold and State Sts.

William R. Hamburg, one of the officers of Wright, Kay & Co., Woodward and Grand River Aves., will leave shortly for his annual vacation at southern resorts. He expects to be gone over a month.
