SILVERWARE MARRIAGES

A topic devoted to silverware marriages, pieces that are made from items, or parts of items, not intended for their original intended use. Sometimes, on occasion, these pieces work, but often they are the silverware equivalent of Frankenstein's monster.

If you have an example in your collection, be it good or bad, please share it here.

A large section has been cut out and replaced and the whole then engraved. The engraving has a date of 1803 or 1805. There are no marks, perhaps they may have been struck originally on the section removed.
