The Lonsdale Silver - Melbourne

Post by dognose »

Interesting link to an Australian Broadcasting Corporation story regarding the silverware collection of Captain William Lonsdale, one of the founders of Melbourne, that his family are parting company with after an amazing 176 years:

Although unfortunately unlikely, it would be great if this wonderful collection remained intact and in the hands of an Australian public institution for all the world to see.
