JM mark

Post by Brian »

I've seen this mark on a few pieces of jewelry and have seen it on the web attributed to Jo Michels, working in Greenwich Village in the forties and fifties. Recently, I met someone who worked with Michels in the 1950's and asked about this mark. He did not recall it and doubted it was Michels's. Does anyone know this "JM"makers mark.
Cheers, Brian

Hi Brian,
I can't answer your question, but here is a piece of jewelry with the same mark. Had it years ago and did (possibly erroneously) attribute it to Michels.

Regards, Tom
