Qing Imperial Gold and Silver Objects

The works in this exhibition represent a variety of functions, the exhibition is divided into four categories: religious sacrificial ware, decorative ware, articles for daily use, and dress and personal adornment. In addition to the 122 sets of objects, the exhibition also provides information on the technological process of making gold and silver objects.

Opening hours: April 1st — October 31st : 8:30 to 17:00. November 1st — March 31st : 8:30 to 16:30

Admission: April 1st — October 31st : 60 yuan. November 1st — March 31st : 40 yuan

The Palace Museum will close every Monday afternoon during the off season of the year 2013, namely, from 1 January to 31 March (excluding national holidays) in order to provide further protection to the Forbidden City as the world's cultural heritage site, to ensure timely preservation to the palatial complex and museum collections, and to maintain the performance of exhibition and service facilities.
On Monday, the Museum opens from 8:30 to 12:00, with last ticket sold at 11:00, and entrance closed at 11:10. The Museum closes at 12:00.
The new timetable will be piloted on the following Mondays:
7, 14, 21, 28 January
4, 18, 25 February, and
4, 11, 18, 25 March, 2013
with the exception of 11 February, the second day of the traditional Chinese Spring Festival holiday, on which the Museum opens for the full day.
