Hi,
Kokoshnik mark is upside down, letter ‚‚Л`` is seen (for assayer Ivan Lebedkin, Moscow).
Maker`s mark is also upside down (``M`` more probably than ``W``).
Can you post better close up image of the marks, please ?
The combination of colors is a bit peculiar.

Hi,
The assayer (Moscow) is Ivan Lebedkin in Kokoshnik mark
For details about the mark take a look here:
http://www.925-1000.com/Frussia_kokoshnik_01.html
The maker could be Maria Semenova (``МС``) at least the only ``МС`` a recall (badly distorted, though).
(Most cloisonné from her workshop was of superb quality, so it could be anothe maker with ``МС`` initials).
I think the ring is genuine (age cracks to enamel and discoloration that cannot be faked).
I always stand corrected and wait for more responses.

Hi -
Even a naive observer notices that almost only the top producers are offered, Fabergé and Semenova are completely everyday! If this napkin ring would be authentic he would be sold within minutes - the winner would have to expect a four-digit purchase sum!
There are numerous reasons why it is a fake - but we do not provide any tutoring for fakers.
Some authentic objects to compare:

Maybe our experts can show more objects....
Semenova is known for her outstanding quality not for her third class replicas!

If anyone else has some information on the mystery MC maker, it would be greatly appreciated. Can we all agree that this napkin ring is the stamp of assayer Ivan Lebedkin (Moscow) though? I'm looking for a rough period of production for this piece. Perhaps turn of the century?

Hi -
Some of the frequently offered fakes - often even experts at first sight are deceived. Only with a close inspection, especially the stamps (usually unclear or deluded, on the edge or at completely unusual places), the falsification is recognized.
Extreme caution is necessary!
