Opinions on authenticity

Post by juantotree »

Hi

I would welcome any opinions on the authenticity of this silver gilt and nephrite cup.

Many Thanks
Martin

Hi,
Forget it unless you are prepared to sell the house to afford an authentic item like this.
``But no, it`s a great find and a bargain at garage estate sale.``
Sorry.

Nothing authentic except for perhaps the raw material. Leave it!

Maybe it looks better, but the marks....Take my advice and read these (all) sites and compare the marks shown on them with the "marks" on this "piece"_
https://www.925-1000.com/Frussia.html and get acquainted with the imperial Russian marking procedure before buying any Russian silver. You will save a lot of money to be used for better purposes.
FYI!
It is immediately to be seen a major conflict between the Fabergé mark and the town mark, and, and, and.... Frankly said, a ridiculous and senseless set of marks in general.
