??????? Mind my asking but what gives you the impression that your bowl is Russian?

Your bowl is Danish. The three towers mark up left indicates Copenhagen and the zodiac mark low right is the lion's mark meaning that you bowl is made 22.7-21.8.1725. It is assayed by CLMW up right who is Conrad Ludolf 1679-1729 in Copenhagen. The maker MPG low left is Marcus Pipgros 1722-1730

So much of it being Russian :-)))))))

Many thanks I bought this at an antique auction and they advertised it as a Russian silver bowl, sorry about that, no wonder I was not getting anywhere with the makers mark!! Really appreciate the information.

Kindest regards

No problem, but you are now referring to our PM's. The book is Danske Sølvmærker, author Christian A. Bøje.
