please help for maker's mark

Post by frenchie_myriam »

Hello All,

here is a lovely scent bottle. Unfortunately the stopper is missing. It was assayed in London in 1910 but I wonder who the maker can be. It shows D.L. Could it be Doroty LANGLANDS ?

Thanking you in advance for your reply. Regards. Myriam

The likely candidate for your piece is David Loebl a silver mounter/worker registered at 9 Aldermanbury Avenue, London EC. He appears to have been in sole control of The London branch of Schindler & Co of Goblonz, Austria.
