maker ?

Post by frenchie_myriam »

Hello All,

Here is a lovely mustard pot which was assayed in London in 1900. Who could the maker be ? The mark is very worn as shown on the picture. It is either "SF LD" or "SE LD".

Thanks in advance for your help. Regards. Myriam

The most likely candidate for your mustard pot is Silvercraft Ltd whose directors were Fred Drummond Barker, Dudley Alfred Cox and Walter E. Dillon.

The missing letter is a T. It would be the same size as the D and would also have a dot under it as with the D.
