Hello,
Your marks indicate that the piece was made by the Neresheimer firm in Hanau Germany. The other marks are English import marks. The sponsors mark is for Berthold Hermann Muller, a London based importer. The date letter (right of 925 mark) is not clear, but it is probably ca. 1905 - 1910.

As the Guidelines indicate, a picture of the item is always appreciated (would make your question much more interesting to everyone involved), as would be a line or two of text message in addition to a title.

Thanks, Tom

Unclear date mark

Thanks for that info.
The date mark is a 'u' in a + in a circle if this makes sense, I tried to get a clearer picture but have been unable to.
Do you think it is yhe 'u' that is the date letter as oppsed to the 'n' in the first pic ?

Hi Tel,
Sorry, I wasn't very clear as to what was what. The grouping of marks that includes the "U" mark are the English marks, they are, from left:
BFM - sponsor' mark
"U" - London import mark
925 - sterling standard
? - Date letter, it is just to the right of the 925, very faint and hard to see, but it is there.

The first image that includes the "N" mark shows the German marks with a repeat of Muller's "BHM" sponsor's mark to their left:
N - the Neresheimer maker's mark.
The two following marks are pseudomarks of the type commonly used on Hanau silver.

Hope this is clearer,
Tom
