Please help me identify the following:

I have higher resoltion photographs if they will help identify.

Am I right in thinking that this is a London Hallmark 1837?

Absolutely right with the date and of course it is pre-Victoria which means that it was made before May in that year. Cannot make out the makers mark, perhaps a better photo of it would help. Best wishes, Mike.
