Walker & Hall atypical marks

Post by gabryct »

What do you think about this marks ? you don't think it's a little atypical ? I searched a lot for the meaning of marks.
I found strange the town mark. it should have sheffield mark, but it seems to have london city mark. could be counterfeit ? what's your opinion ?

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

The marks are fine. Walker & Hall, although a Sheffield-based firm, used the services of several different assay offices including London, Birmingham and Sheffield. Your items were assayed at London in 1937.

Please remember in future posts to keep your images to within the 7" (18cm) width limit.
