Hello again,
I have this sugar shovel and have had difficulty determining who the maker was. It is marked Leopard, lion passant, R (1852 I believe), Queen Victoria. I think the makers mark might be Charles Rawlings and William Summers, but it seems to have an unusual half moon above it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Unknown maker mark on sugar shovel
In the absence of a better suggestion I would go with Rawlings and Summers but the mark is not clear enough to be completely sure. The additional "half-moon" shape is, I think the remains of another mark over which the one which we can see has been stamped. Overstamping was not uncommon and it explains why what we can see is such a mess.
