Pepper pot R.C circa 1725

Post by robert12 »

Help needed please on this pepper pot/caster probably circa 1725
Weighs 138 gr and 13.5 cm tall.
Maker mark only which looks to be R.C
A crest as shown which may help maker attribution.
May possibly be a provincial piece as lack of any hallmarks.
Thanks, Robert

Hi. It might be Robert Albin cox, active from 1752-1759 in London

Hi,
I did consider Robert Albin Cox, I thought the pellet was higher on my pot and a different outer shape to the punch.
This may of course be camera angle and wear. Perhaps he is the most likely maker though.
Thanks for the input.

Robert
