Pirates Fob Medal

Post by JanGroen »

Good day

Here is one of my latest fob medals. It was made by William Hair Haseler in 1899. Would Pirates be a football club?
Thanks Jannie

Hi Jannie,

I think the name Pirates CC = Pirates Cricket Club (Johannesburg) which I believe has evolved into Pirates Sports Club and is still operating.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for the quick reply. Were not certain what the weird letters after Pirates were.
