Small wooden box with silver shield.

Hi I have a small wooden box, not sure what it was used for and it has a small silver shield on and I'm not sure if its 1902 or 1927.Would appreciate any help thank you.

1902 for me - the top of the "c" is the key for me.

Not sure of the maker as the photo isn't that clear - is it H&F?

1902 for me too and the mark looks to me like H&F. This is the mark of William Sydney Hall and Henry Edgar Fitzgerald trading as Hall & Fitzgerald, fancy goods merchants, 20 Victoria Street, Bristol.
