Dutch Deco Baby Spoon - Maker's mark?

Post by io »

Hello Everyone,
Found this adorable Dutch spoon recently, it's small, about 4.5 inches, guess it is a baby or maybe a coffee spoon. It only has 2 marks, both on the back of the bowl. One is the Dutch sword mark for silver and the other is a maker's mark that looks like a crown over VKB. I hope someone out there knows the maker. Thanks

It's the makers mark of "Koninklijke Van Kempen Begeer".
They still excist.

The small mark on top is a sword which was in use for small silver items since 1814 .. it's hard to make out from the picture which one it actually is, but I think one from after 1953/55, which makes sense from the design.

The maker is indeed Van Kempen & Begeer. Since this company started in 1961, the second mark has to be the sword for (small) silver after 1953.
