Hi Dimitry,

Snuff or tobacco box, depending on the sizes and made in Schoonhoven. Image # 1 to 3; the box theme; work the land, harvest & enjoy the good life, after agreement we can develop the country and the city and hard working people will prosper.
Image # 4; Lion passant above 2: standard mark silver .833 fineness (1814-1953) with export key: mark to indicate 2/3 duty restitution upon export valid1853 till 1953. Image # 5; assay office mark or Minerva head with the regional assay office letter M for the assay office city of Schoonhoven (struck twice). Image # 6; year letter Gothic Z for 1909. You are not showing the Schoonhoven maker's mark, please check again and show us the maker's mark.

Hi Dimitry,

The export mark and the absence of a maker's mark points towards one of the big silver factories present during the time in Schoonhoven. I would not be surprised if the box was made by the silver factory of Hubertus Hooijkaas.
