Hi,
I've been sent these images of a Dutch box:
Can someone give information about this piece?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Amsterdam Box?
Re: Amsterdam Box?
Hi Trev,
To me it appears to be a loderein box of low quality compared to the 18th century Amsterdam loderein boxex I have seen, espacially the hinge is of poor quality. I believe the town mark could be for amsterdam 1745, silver 2nd standard, year letter L. So far the maker's mark remains a mistery to me but I haven't give up yet.
Best,
Peter

Re: Amsterdam Box?
100% Amsterdam, you will find every 10ft the 3 XXX from Amsterdam on something when walking there, it is a "Lodereindoosje" most likely 1790th's
the hinge is worth repairing, overall condition is not to good, over-polished, not rare but big colletor' s item in Holland
