Cigarette Case - Mystery Hallmark

Post by tzarevich »

I have no idea where to start to solve the mystery, what country? Well made cigarette case with sapphire cabochon and single hallmark. Any ideas?

Hi tzarevich,

I suspect this may be one of the marks used by Kempen, Begeer & Vos. Hopefully someone will confirm/deny soon.

Hi Tzarevich,

Are you sure there are no other marks or one little sword mark?

For more information about Kempen Begeer & Vos see:

Oel, of course! You are correct and I have overlooked them, here is a picture of the marks on the side of the cigarette case.

Hi,
Too small and out of focus. Try to clean them (e.g. with a toothbrush) and take better close up pictures.Thank you.
