Hello All. I'm not sure if I'm in the correct section, as I could not identify these marks. Four marks;
1. 85 or 35 crowned, perhaps
2. PM crowned
3. Cross like mark
4. I believe PM crowned again

Interesting the marks are stamped facing in different directions.
Thank you in advance for any info.

Hi,

Not Dutch as such but I suspect it to be Belgian 18th century silver guild marks for the city of Ieper or in French Ypres. Crowned date letter 8(9?) for 1789?
The book Belgische Zilvermerken Poinçons d'argenterie belges by R. Stuyck shows a maker's mark PM under crown/above small star in a different shaped frame for; Jan Paul Mullet maker mentioned for ecclesiastical silver dated 1752 and 1753. Your sifter is made in the late 1780ties and most likely not by Jan Paul Mullet but by unknown, perhaps family related maker.

Oel.
