Hello forum,
Would anybody be kind enough to identify the maker of this small dutch box if at all possible? I presume being so small it is a lodereindoosje? I think it is Amsterdam, 1841, but the maker's mark alludes me. There are no other marks on the box at all, despite a close inspection with a loupe.
I would be most grateful for any help.
Regards,
Silverk.

Re: Request for maker of this small Dutch box
Hi Silverk, indeed Amsterdam 18th century and a loderein box. Maker's mark appears to be a rose in a somewhat square shield for; Frans Morellon la Cave, registered in Amsterdam 1753-1786, born 1726, died 1796, known for small silver work, and specialized in cast candied fruits spoons & forks. Town mark of Amsterdam with combined year letter G for 1766.

Below a better clear image of Frans Morellon's mark on a sugar sifter;
