1651 Bridal Serving Set w LOTS of marks

Post by suefox6 »

I have a very elaborate 12" spoon & forks set.
I do not know what country they are from and have been searching hallmarks with no success.
Mainly because the set is dated 1651 on the back, so it it earlier than most charts,
and I have not found what country they come from.
Any help here? I sure would appreciate any leads.

Hi Sue, welcome to the forum

You are showing us a full set of Dutch pseudo/fantasy marks. Your serving set is made around turn 19th-early 20th century. The maker's mark vd(conjoined)B with symbol drawing compass for; Paulus Arnoldus van der Beek, registered in the cities of Workum, Franeker(Dutch province of Friesland) and The Hague, time period 1854-1909

Are there no other little marks?
