Hi Ben,

I have come across the third and fourth marks before, on heavily plated flatware. 'Q' and 'flower'. The 'GS' would stand for German Silver, an alternative name used by some silver platers for Electro Plate. The term fell out of fashion as a sales aid following the onset of the Great War in 1914.

Hopefully in this case I'll be wrong.

Bummer!

I'll take it in to a jeweller to check properly.

Thanks again,
