Dessert spoon marked SN once, Irish?

Post by mk209 »

Feather edge dessert spoon with a slight celtic end. It’s marked SN just once. Maybe the family crest will be of some help? Any ideas?

Similar to BUCHANAN and WHANNELL family crest:

but not entirely sure, it might be a good lead.

Hi Matt,

The mark certainly appears to be that of Samuel Neville of Dublin.

I agree they are made by Neville but for some reason the spoons never made it to assay. I have 4 of them so 2 maybe are out there somewhere or have been lost?

Thanks

Matt
