Newbie here! I like to put together an information pack with each of the items in my growing collection. Whenever possible that would include the street or the area where an item was originally made back in the day.
Do any of you good folk know where Peter Aitken I worked out of in Glasgow? I'm usually fairly successful at finding this information online, but I'm stumped by this chap. I have a really well-marked condiment spoon and it'll be a great bonus to my descendants in years to come if I can come up with an address for Mr Aitken to add to the information sheet. Thanks for your time in reading this.

Re: Pete Aitken I, Glasgow silversmith address?
From Pigot& Co's "New Commercial Directory of Scotland for 1825-6" in the Glasgow section under Jewellers & Silversmiths:
Aitken Peter, 80, Trongate
and from the 1837 edition:
Aitken Peter, 48, Arcade & 96 Argyle st
His working life is implied as 1801 to 1841 by the Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh so these 2 snapshots probably do not cover all of his premises.
