It is French, made 1838-1972 of at least 800 standard silver as shown by the boar's head mark. This mark is stamped twice to indicate the object has 2 parts. If you could sharpen the image of the mark in the lozenge-shaped reserve, I might be able to identify the maker and narrow the date of production.

Thank you for the additional photos. I see from the srike plate on the bottom that this is a vesta case (match case), making it a 19th or early 20th century object. Unfortunately the maker's mark looks blurry and unfocused on my monitor, so I can't help with the name. All I can see are some letters between a star above and a star below.
