Hallmark from a french fork

Post by Tramontane06 »

Hi,
I own this French fork in solid silver. It shows the 1798-1808 hallmark title (a rooster) and the Paris Guarantee hallmark. I can not read the name of the silversmith: J (?) A D ? Can someone help me? Thank you !

LAD for Louis-Antoine Drouard, born ca. 1756, Master 10 Jan 1784, died 19 Feb 1811 in Paris, 10th arrondissement. His workshop at 32 rue de Thionville was continued 1811-1817 by his widow, Marie Jeanne Hilaire Picard, presumably with the same mark.
