Re: Williams, Jane (Grimwade p.389)
There was a partnership of Carden Terry and Jane Williams in Cork, Ireland (also Dublin) in the early 1800's.
Could this be the final stage of her career ?

Re: Williams, Jane (Grimwade p.389)
No, no connection.
Jane Terry, Carden Terry's daughter, was married to John Williams (m.6-8-1791 - St. Peter's Church, Cork), a former apprentice and later partner with Carden Terry. John died on 13th June 1806 ('Abscess in the lung from a cold while fishing'), and his widow then continued in partnership with her father until his death on 16th July 1821, the business closed soon after and she went into the drapery business, at Cork, as Jane Terry & Son. Jane died on 17th April 1845.
John and Jane Williams had six children: Carden Terry Williams b.1797, d.1877. Catherine Terry Williams b.1797, d. 1864. Samuel Williams. John Williams b.1800, d.1882. Stawell Webb Williams b.1802, d.1880. Humphrey Evans Williams b.1803, d.1857.

Many thanks Trev
So a mark of CT/JW could mean Carden Terry & John Williams until 1806, then Carden Terry & Jane Williams from 1806 until 1821 when Terry died .
I bet they used the same punch though !
