Born c1813 in Bishopsgate.
1841 UK Census for 12 Wilson street, St Luke as a spoon maker aged 25 years.
1851 UK Census for (?) Court, St Botolph, Aldersgate as a silversmith aged 38 years.
1861 UK Census for 14 Ruddock Buildings, Holywell, Shoreditch as a commission agent aged 48 years.
1871 UK Census for 3 Brierley Street, Bethnal Green as a furniture broker aged 59 years.

The Court For Relief of Insolvent Debtors

Court House, Portugal Street, Lincoln's-Inn-Fields

On Wednesday the 12th day of October 1842

David Phillips (sued and committed with Lewis Phillips), formerly of No. 12, Wilson-street, Finsbury, Middlesex, in copartnership and trading with Lewis Phillips, under the firm and style of D. and L. Phillips, as Working Silversmiths, Watch Case Makers, and Dealers in China, Glass, and Hardware, afterwards of No. 12, Wilson-street aforesaid, trading with Lewis Phillips as aforesaid, during part of the time trading at No. 129, Shoreditch, Middlesex, in copartnership with said Lewis Phillips, under the firm and style of Phillips and Company, as Earthenware, China, and Glass Dealers, and late of No. 12, Wilson-street aforesaid only, formerly trading in copartnership with said Lewis Phillips, under the firm and style of D. and L. Phillips, as Working Silversmiths, Watch Case Makers, and Dealers in China, Glass, and Earthenware, and latterly trading alone at No. 12, Wilson-street, Finsbury, Middlesex, as a Working Silversmith.
