Goldworkers List (Section VII).

Born 28th May 1787.
Christening record at St Dunstan in the West dated 21st July 1787. Parents were Samuel and Catherine of Fetter Lane.
Indentures making him apprentice to Catherine Reed, Broderer and widow of Samuel Reed of Fetter Lane were signed in 1801.
1821-30 he entered 5 maker’s marks at Goldsmiths Hall as a goldworker at 30 Fetter Lane.
Christening records for 5 children 1819-32 traced at St Dunstan in the West. In each Samuel is shown as a jeweller from Fetter Lane; wife as Elizabeth Jane.
1841 UK Census for Fetter Lane as a jeweller.
1851 UK Census for King Street, Bloomsbury as a goldsmith.
Wife died 1856.
London Deaths & Burials Index for All Souls, Kensal Green registry dated 3rd May 1856. Aged 60 years; last address 30 King Street.
Samuel Reed died 9th December 1864.
London Deaths & Burials Index for All Souls, Kensal Green register dated 17th December 1864; aged 77 years.
National Probate Calendar for Principal Registry dated 11th January 1865.
Last address 6 Cornwall Crescent, Camden; value of estate under £800.

Notice is hereby given, that the Partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned, Samuel Reed and Thomas Walton, of No. 38 Fetter-lane, in the city of London, as Goldsmiths, Jewellers, and Pearl-workers, hath this day been dissolved by mutual consent. - Dated this 2nd day of May 1845; as witness our hands.
